Fanny [Frumet] Vogelhut Aufrichtig had travelled in 1938 to Brzesko in Poland to visit a sister she had not seen in 30 years. She was refused entry back into Germany and reports indicate that she was forced to remain in the Brzesko ghetto until its inhabitants had been liquidated. She is believed to have died in 1942 together with her Stuttgart friend and neighbour, Lotte Laser.
